Be wary of listings with few photos, vague history or pressure to decide quickly.

• Service records：Continuous maintenance history is the best evidence of a good car. Japanese cars often come with meticulous dealer records.
• Ownership history：Fewer owners and long ownership periods are good signs.
• Accident history：In Japan, repair history (修復歴) must be disclosed by dealers — always ask for it explicitly.

• Underbody rust：The classic killer. Ask for underbody photos or an inspection video.
• Panel gaps and paint：Uneven gaps or paint texture reveal past bodywork.
• Interior wear：Should match the claimed mileage — a worn wheel on a "low-mileage" car is a red flag.
